2. What are the minimum requirements to join?
   You must hold at least one of the following certifications:

• RYA Competent Crew (minimum requirement)
• Day Skipper
  Additional qualifications such as Yachtmaster Offshore, STCW, and an ENG1 medical certificate will enhance your profile.

3. Who is responsible for visas and travel documentation?
   Crew members are fully responsible for ensuring they hold all necessary visas, passports, and documentation for the entire journey. For example:

• A B1/B2 visa is strongly advised for deliveries entering the USA via sea, as ESTA is not accepted for sea entry.
• Passports must have at least 6 months validity for US travel.

If you do not meet visa requirements or need to leave a delivery early, you will be responsible for arranging and covering any return travel costs.

4. Are travel costs covered, and how does it work?
   Yes, all travel expenses to and from the vessel are reimbursed, not advanced. Crew must initially pay for their travel and submit receipts for reimbursement upon successful completion of the delivery.

  

5. How much availability is required to join a delivery?
   Crew members must ensure they have sufficient availability to complete the entire delivery. If a crew member leaves a delivery early, they will forfeit any reimbursement for return travel costs.
6. How does the membership work?

• Membership is valid for 12 months.
• Crew selection is at the discretion of the appointed Captain.
• All communication, job opportunities, and updates are shared exclusively through our newsletter. To stay informed, you must create an account on our site.
• Once selected, you will receive direct contact details for the Captain.

7. Can couples or partners apply together?
   Yes, couples are welcome to join. For example:

• One partner may serve as a 1st Mate while the other joins as crew.
• Successful completion of 1-2 deliveries, with a Captain’s endorsement, may lead to direct assignments for future roles.

8. What is the Fast-Track Program?
   Our Fast-Track Program provides direct sailing experience alongside seasoned professionals. Upon completion, you will:

• Gain hands-on experience.
• Receive personal references and logbooks to enhance your professional sailing career.

9. What should I know about COVID-19 travel restrictions?
   Stay updated on the latest COVID-19 travel advisories, as restrictions may impact your ability to join a delivery. Check official sources for details on country closures or difficult entry requirements before committing to any delivery.
